As you can see, it's not just important to look up, but also down on the ground... you might see many many molehills there... =)

Blue Sky

Sometimes you do see some amazing colours and shapes up there... too few people look up, so remember to do it once in a while, otherwise you might miss out on skies like this.

Rainy Days... Or Not?

We hear of German people drowning here because of the bad weather (in Baden-Württemberg, in the South of Germany)... All the Saarland got so far is some drops of rain and lots of dark skies that magically turn blue after a short while...

Ludwigskirche

Inside Ludwigskirche... an amazimg church white a completely white interior, gorgeous when the sun is shining through the huge windows. I was stunned when I finally went in there for the first time in 9 years...

Street Lights

I love nice street lights, and those are about the most gorgeous Saarbrücken has to offer... =)

As promised earlier... a picture from the Old Cemetery (Alter Friedhof) in Saarbrücken.

Hmm, a very modern version of a tower in Saarbrücken (close to the French border)... controversive, I suspect...

Red Brick Houses

Saarbrücken doesn't have a lot of old houses anymore, which makes it more special when you pass beautiful homes like these old brick houses.

Jewish Cemetery

This is a picture of a Jewish Cemetery in Saarbrücken.
It's located close to "Alter Friedhof" (Old Cemetery) which I will present to you during the next days as well.

Spooky Church

The trees are not green yet, which make some Saarbrücken sights (like this church close to Deutsch-Französischer Garten) look rather strange and spooky...
I think Tim Burton would like that one!

Dear all,

it has been more than six months since the last picture of Saarbrücken Daily Photo, and I honestly want to tell you how sorry I am about it.
Things have been complicated and I have been busy like a bee... plus, my old Casio refused to work any longer, so I'm taking pics now with my new Panasonic Lumix.

Anyway, thank you for all your support and concern.

I know that a lot of people still visit the site regularly which makes me proud and honoured, and I don't want to waste the opportunity to reach people all over the world and show them my personal view of Saarbrücken.

Taekwon-Do Seminar

On Saturday, the Taekwon-Do Center Saarland had a seminar for all Taekwon-Do students. Our grandmaster, Son Jong-Ho (7th Dan) was present and taught us some of his martial art techniques.
This is a picture from an examination of a student to go for the red belt (yippie - all students passed their exams on this day).

Rainy Evening

Loooots of rain again in Saarbrücken, and it seems like the snow is approaching us soon.
Luckily I stood under a protecting roof taking this picture... if you would just have walked three steps you would have been soaked. =)

Casino Restaurant

So sorry I couldn't post pictures for the past week, we had a conference at work, and I was involved in preparations and organisation.
On Thursday, we went to the Casino Restaurant am Staden for our conference dinner, a wonderful restaurant serving excellent food. This is the sign above their main entrance.

Most Graffiti in a German Train Station

Vird went on another excursion in Saarbrücken. This time, he went to the Saarbrücken East train station that is probably the most sprayed train station of Germany. All the walls are full of graffiti...

Theme Day: The Colour Blue

One of my favourite books and a must on my bedside table: "Die Luftgängerin" (Could probably be translated with "The Airwalker") by Robert Schneider.
As you can see, my bedroom wallpapers are blue as well... mission complete! =)
