A Little Blue

The construction site at university looked interesting today.
The construction workers cut the big blue pipes in the background, and "lost" a lot of the blue plastic all over the place, almost like confetti.

I wonder why the pipes need to be blue - does this color signify anything in particular? hmm I do like the confetti =)
