There are still lots of areas where German cities have cobblestones on the streets (poor cars). I find them fascinating and love walking over them... In the rain today they got a special glow when a car came towards me...

i definitely prefer this than the modern tiles they use on roads these days...however, I havent seen one with zebra lines though .cool!

Bah! -- have you tried riding a bike over them or pushing/driving a wheelchair across them!
dont forget the ladies with high heels. I think its pure horror to walk over cobblestones with them...
