This is the Saarbrücken synagogue at Beethovenplatz.
As you can see, 9/11 even had impact our little town here. Since then, the building is watched 24/7.
They used to have a team of two police officers guarding it, for a while now there's this big police bus standing in front of it.
(Even though I don't think there was an incident...)

better be ready than sorry! Green is the police's colour?..very striking :)
Green was the Police Colour, they will change it to a boring, but international blue.
The have 2 Policemen outside the Synagoge and some more inside. There is a Guardroom inside too...
@Moonsoleil, little Town is a bit to understatet. Saarbrücken has some hundred thousend citizen and is one of the 20 biggest cities in Germany.
Green sure makes this bus stand out - do the officers dress in green too? That would be so cool - they could look like super heros like Green Lantern!
Its sad that places need security so much but I guess that is the sign of the times. Your town is very big.
falsch. die synagoge wird schon seit längerer zeit - vor dem 11.9.2001 - polizeilich beobachtet. hab ich gehört.
